It didn't take very long this summer for my wife and I to hear the words form our son, "I board". Of course, we offered the classic suggestions, go ride your bike, read a book, why don't you write in your journal, or why don't you pick up your room. Then I got to thinking...why not blog about something you love...LEGOs. So together we build a blog page together. We set some ground rules, we kept them simple because he is only seven:
1. We would publish together
2. He would need to write out his posting on paper first...we would edit together
3. Content comes first, then images

Not only will this blog keep his writing skills fresh over the summer, but I felt the comments or feedback would be encouraging. There is nothing more exciting than writing to an authentic audience. On top of that, we will be tracking the visits using Google Analytics which will actually show the location of each visitor. I also decided to add some Yahoo Click Ads so he could raise some funds from each click for the LEGO Robotic Kit he has been asking for. I will keep you posted on this project during the year, and if you would like to visit and leave a comment, I am sure he would be thrilled.  [Click Here]
