To be honest, I am not a big fan of keyboarding software for elementary students, but I am often ask for suggestions and have to come up with something. Teachers want something that is affordable, practical and truly teaches proper keyboarding skills. Well, I have yet to really find anything that meets all three. The good news is that I have discovered a web based tools that may be a good start. The tool is Keybr.com which is a neat little Java based Web 2.0 tool that is simple and free. The site simply displays a a keyboard that wait patiently to be used. Click the keyboard and begin typing. This little web application shows your speed and accuracy. When you’re ready,  just move on to the next lesson.

So, check it out and let me know what you think. Also, if you have any great suggestions for keyboarding software, let me know.
