Wed, 5 August 2009 I have been wondering about this question ever since I started dabbling in geocaching. Before I purchased our recent TomTom XL 330•S (which by the way, the wife loves) I did some research to see if this unit can be use for geocaching. Now car GPS units are not designed for the great outdoors. They are not as rugged as the handheld counter parts and really don't always have the same functionality. But, with a little geekiness, units like the can be used if you don't want to invest in a second unit like the Garmen Legend. This may be impotant for educators, public libraries or non-profit groups that would like to teach geocaching to their patrons. The first step is to use a site like www.geocaching.com to locate the caches in your area. In order to actually get the locations or coordinates, you will need to set up an account, which by the way is free.Once you have registered, you can search and download cache details in the GPX format. The second step is to download this amazing tool that I found called the "Geocaching Swiss Army Knife" (GSAK). This is where the fun begins! This piece of software allows to get the coordinates and exporting to the TomTom or other automobile GPS devices. For the TomTom, these files will be POI files (Point of Interest). POI file are like waypoints on the handheld GPS. Thu, 30 July 2009 ![]() We just recently added a new GPS to our inventory. Beside the Garmin Legend that we carry when we go geocaching; we just recently purchased an automotive GPS. After taking a trip to Saint Louis this summer we realized that turn-by-turn spoken instructions would not only make driving easier, but also save a little gas in the process. The problem we had with selecting a GPS unit for a car is...there are so many great devices and so many options. We finally decided to focus on a couple of things - If you would like to pick one up for $99, click on the banner in the right column. Thu, 30 July 2009 One of the issues that many educators have with Blackboard is the migration of course materials and content from Blackboard to another course management system like Moodle.
Recently I was point to a tool created by the ITS department at University of North Carolina called bFree . This small Java based tool smoothly takes your content from Blackboard and creates slick free-standing website out of it so content can be published to a website or uploaded to Moodle.

Not only did they make the interface confusing but they also left out was the ability to add simple effects to your video. Apple has redeemed itself and has brought back a less complicated interface along with those special effects with the release of iMovie 09. Fri, 20 February 2009 We added a new Web 2.0 tool on our website a few months ago, but we had to remove it. After testing the chat tool called WebbyChat, we found it to be disappointing. WebbyChat is a chat room that can be added to any site. It sits outside your page content and can carry the conversation from page to page. Not only was it not being used, we also found it hard to control. Unlike real chat rooms, conversations were not easily monitored and we lost our ability to manage it. This is scary if you wanted to use it for classroom conversations or for online classes. We will keep looking for a free and easy chat room tool and share it with you when we find it. Tue, 3 February 2009 ![]() I learned a long time ago as a classroom teacher and web developer...there is no since in wasting time on a media that does not offer a return. So you are probably wondering what I mean by this. If you are spending time as an educator building a classroom website, podcast or vodcast, make sure your time is well spent. You need data to support the hours you invest in one of these tools. If you are spending hours updating your classroom website, but only one or two parents or students are using it...is it worth your time? The same goes for a podcast or vodcast. Both of these tools require large amounts of time from pre-production to the final broadcast. Again, if you only have a few listeners, is it worth it. I don't want to forget to mention that there are hosting costs involved with both of these medias...so you need to know if you are getting your bang for your buck (and time). Here are two great tips to help you with the process of collecting this data. The first tip is to add Google Analytics to your website. Google Analytics is a free tool that allows you to track information about the visitors that come to your site and how they interact with it. You will not only get the number of visit each day, but where they are from, how long they are on your site and much, much more. In fact, I still don't think I have really taken advantage of all of the features Google Analytics has to offer. The second tip is to use a podcast hosting service that offers you statistics. Some important features to look for are total all time downloads, daily and monthly downloads, and the download by platform (Where are your listeners getting your podcast/vodcast). If you would like more information about these tips, please feel free to contact me.

Sun, 1 February 2009 ![]() Normally when doing educational video conferencing I either use Polycom equipment or Skype software. These tools are becoming more and popular with educators all around the world. Recently I was ask to use a new video conferencing tool called "paltalk". To be honest, I had never heard of this service and thought it may be worth a try. One thing that is different about paltalk compared to a service like Skype is that it uses the traditional style of vidoe chat services. They use thousands of live video chat rooms and dozens of regularly scheduled video chat shows. So in a way, it seem to be a little like USTREAM or STICKM where you can do live broadcasts. The service also offers something unique...virtual streaming of video clips from your computer. So video can be shared during you video conference. Paltalk also offers the ability to have 10 people join you by video during your conference, which is something that Skype can't do After using this service I found many of the features mentioned above to be encouraging for the delivery of education content. For example the service could be used during an online class to make students get not only aquainted with the instructor, but also the students. Also, the ability to stream your own video content during a conference could not only be engaging, but also help reinforce a concept or enrich a discussion. Try "paltalk" out for yourself and let me know what you think. To download, click the image below: Category: general -- posted at: 9:34 PM Comments[0]
Sat, 31 January 2009 It important to never cut corners when it comes to your help. The same gors for protecting your computer. There are many options when it comes to virus protection, and believe me, I have tried them all. Malware is running ramped and you need to kill the viruses before they take down your system. In the past I have always used tools like Nortons and McAfee to protect my home computers, but the problem is that every time they come out with a new version, they seems to take up more hard drive space and more processor speed. After listening to Leo Laporte – creator of the TWIT podcasts, and doing some research, I finally I figure it was time for a change. I have found the perfect protection for my home computers. What I discovered was that when it comes to proactive virus protection, Eset's NOD32 was the hands-down winner in "Virus Stoppers," It actually was one of the top protectors against spyware. Not only does it protect well but the program was very easy to install and I never seem to notice it scanning when I am using the computer…unlike the other services I have tried. It also has a very small foot print so it does not take as much hard drive space. Now NOD32 ties you're your Outlook or Outlook Express for e-mail scanning. NOD 32 does not work with or integrate with any instant messaging applications for scanning sent links or files. It also scans for spyware and adware in addition to viruses and it can perform all those scans at once, while some other tools require multiple scans. Thu, 8 January 2009 ![]() When the first iPod Touch arrived on the scene, I couldn't justify it as a appropriate tool for the classroom. Mon, 8 December 2008 ![]() Don't get me wrong, I love Apple and I love the hardware they manufacture, but there are times when even Apple hardware will let you down. This is sad when you can purchase a brnad new iPod Nano for $149. Today I am going to share with you my first little secret when helping trouble shoot an iPod...the hidden iPod Commands. I found a great web site that breaks down these commands in a simple interactive way. [Click Here] If you are having problems with your iPod freezing, try doing a Hard Reset. Fri, 7 November 2008 ![]() Recently, I had the chance to try out a couple more small laptops called netbooks. Last month, I tried out the Dell Mini 9, which was a very nice netbook for the price. This month I tried out the ASUS Eee PC 1000 and the Acer Aspire One, both of which have received very good reviews...but to be honest, there is nothing better than to try them out for yourself. The ASUS is the largest of the netbooks, boasting a 10 inch screen. It also offers a larger keyboard than the rest, making it a winner in my book. The ASUS comes loaded with the choice of operating systems, Linux or XP Home edition. It also uses the faster 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor along with 1GB of DDR memory. The chassis has an Ethernet port, a single USB port, plus a pair of audio ports. There are two additional USB ports, an SD card reader and a VGA output. Like many of the netbooks, the ASUS also has a built in webcam. (Additional upgrade options available)
The next netbook is the Acer Aspire One. Having owned an Acer in the past, I confident that it would not let me down. The Acer offer the user an 8.9" screen, which is reflected in a smaller keyboard...about an inch smaller that the ASUS, which I found to be the biggest downside to this laptop. But, like the ASUS, the Acer is packed with the 1.6GHz Atom processor and 160 GB hard drive or an 8GB SSD storage drive and an 802.11g/b wireless card and a webcam. The Acer also comes loaded with Linux or Windows XP Home along with three USB ports, SD card reader, an Ethernet port and a VGA-out. There's a Kensington lock too, naturally, as well as a headphone and microphone port. (Additional upgrade option available)
Between the two laptops, my favorite is the ASUS Eee PC 1000...which really surprised me. Not only did the larger keyboard make my surfing and typing a breeze, but it also had a more solid feel. The mouse design also made navigating easier because the mouse buttons were located at the bottom of the mouse, while the Acer put them on the side. I also noticed that it ran faster. Now the faster operation could be because the ASUS was running Linux on a solid state hard drive while the Acer was running XP Home on a 160 Gig SATA hard drive. Pricing for the laptops run around $349 dollars on up depending upon upgrade options and operating systems. For additional information on these netbooks, go to: Acer [Click Here]

Sun, 2 November 2008 Here is a great Web 2.0 tool that will have many uses in your classroom...no matter what age you teach. Wordle is a great tool for generating something called word clouds. Either type or copy and paste in your text and let Wordle generate a unique word cloud. The clouds created give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. Wordle lets users change fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, save them or do a print screen to save your project. Wordle would be a great way for students to check what words are being over used in their writing by simply past their text into the Wordle text box. Another way to use Wordle in the classroom is to have students create special word walls (Examples: adjectives, synonyms, antonyms) Category: general -- posted at: 9:13 PM Comments[1]

Wed, 3 September 2008 ![]() Netscape, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Firefox, and now Crome. Of course this is a brief timeline and history of web browsers since the birth of the Internet in February of 1991. This week Google released their new web browser called Crome. Of course Google is taking on the Internet Explorer which at least three-fourths of the world uses to surf the net. So what makes it so special, so far all I have noticed is a simple and clutter free interface. Unlike many browser, crome default look is clean and simple. Of course Google boasts that Crome is sleeker, faster and a more secure alternative to Internet Explorer. Another feature that Google has built in is the dual purpose address bar navigation bar in which users can enter a web address or enter a search request. Of course this bring up the question... when is Google coming out with their own operating system? They have an alternative to Office and now an alternative to Internet Explorer....when will they release their alternative to XP and Vista? Wed, 13 August 2008 ![]() Last week I purchased a Kodak EasyShare 5300 All In One printer for our TechTeacher Network of Woot.com. We really need the All In One functions which are to print, scan, copy, and photo printing. It offers the basics that we normally look for and we couldn't pass on the $39 price tag. Yes, it was factory refurbished model, but you can't even buy ink for that price. It origianlly sells for $149 to $200. It is a pretty average sized All-In-One and stands 18.8 inches wide, 14.7 inches deep, and 8.8 inches tall. The printer has two front-mounted memory card slots take most common cards and has two mounted two front mounted USB ports. The EasyShare 5300's also includes a 3-inch LCD screen which which is hinged so you can tilt it forward for viewing. The printer uses a two-cartridge system and what Kodak calls "six-ink" printing. The black cartridge costs around $10 to replace and the color tank costs $15. I haven't check to see what local stores charge to refill the cartridges yet. I also wanted to know what the cost per page was and found that Kodak estimates that a page of black text costs 3 cents and a page of color graphics costs 7 cents. This of course is pretty good for an ink jet...remember that laser printer usually run under a penny a page. So far the only issues that I have run across is the slow software installation...I can't offer a fix for that...and a paper jam error after taking it out of the box. To fix the paper jam error fill both the 8.5x11 and the 4x6 paper trays with paper...pushing in the photo paper before starting. Then restart the printer...this may require you to unplug it if you got the paper jam error. This should fix the problem and you can now print a calibration sheet. Once that is finished, pull the photo paper tray back out. For great deals like this one, go to www.woot.com

To my surprise, the prices were very cheap, at least compared to the other prices that I found for the iPod Classic Video and new 4 and 8 Gig Nano. Thu, 26 June 2008 As I mentioned in my last podcast, I have been using Viddler to host video tutorials for an online class that I am teaching. To create the video, I am using an old HP laptop running a FREE screen capture program call CamStudio. Because of the age of the computer and lack of power, I need to keep these recording as simple as I can. So I run CamStudio as I talk over the presentation. The down side to this method is that it does not allow for any editing...if you make a mistake, you record it all again. Now there are higher end programs that do screen capture, and allow you to edit and add vocal tracks and annotations, but there is a larger price tag with these tools. Also, these tools require more ram and processor speed.

Fri, 4 January 2008 ![]() To be honest, I am not a big fan of keyboarding software for elementary students, but I am often ask for suggestions and have to come up with something. Teachers want something that is affordable, practical and truly teaches proper keyboarding skills. Well, I have yet to really find anything that meets all three. The good news is that I have discovered a web based tools that may be a good start. The tool is Keybr.com which is a neat little Java based Web 2.0 tool that is simple and free. The site simply displays a a keyboard that wait patiently to be used. Click the keyboard and begin typing. This little web application shows your speed and accuracy. Thu, 13 December 2007 ![]() So your loved one has been pestering you for an MP3 player, but you just don't know which one to buy. I always suggest the iPod...and why not, they basically own the MP3 market, plus iTunes is so easy to use. The iPod that I really like is the new 8gig iPod Nano which lists for about $197.00. Not only is it a stylish MP3 player, but it is also a great little video player for those who don't want to shell out $250 to $350 for the larger video iPods. It is both Mac and PC compatible and will a perfect addition under your Christmas tree. Wed, 12 December 2007 ![]() Have you started your Christmas shooping yet? If not, or if you are having a difficult time finding that perfect gift, here is a suggestion. Digital photo frames are becoming more and more popular, because they are becoming more affordable. Using LCD technology, digital photo frames can be a great and exciting way to share those digital memories that maybe never make it off of your computer. Prices range form $59 to $299 depending on size and features. I recently purchased the Photoblitz 5.6" frame from TigerDirect for $69.00 and received a 1 gig SD card to go with it. Fri, 7 December 2007 ![]() One thing that I hear all of the time from educators is...where can I download free music loops or sound effects legally. Finally, I have a great answer and I think you will agree. SoundSnap.com is a huge database containing public domain loops, sound effects and audio clips. All of the sounds on this site have been tagged and categorized for easy searching. On top of that, listeners can preview the sounds using a built in player and then if they like it, the sounds can downloaded them right away in multiple formats (MP3, AIFF, and WAV). Now just like most sites that allow public content to be uploaded with very few restrictions; I would caution schools to let students search the site for sounds because there may be some inappropriate content there. My suggestion would be for the teacher to search and download loops and sounds and then let students go from there. Category: general -- posted at: 9:27 PM Comments[0]

Now Pamela is a Skype certified add-on toolbox which offers a wide range of functions to enhance your Skype experience. Mon, 19 November 2007 ![]() One of the greatest Web 2.0 tools out there is the feed aggregator, also known as a RSS feed reader or simply as an aggregator. Now a the purpose of an aggregator is to reduce the needed to regularly check websites for updates or podcasts for updates. Instead of you going to the the information, the information comes to you. Once subscribed to a feed, an aggregator is able to check for new content at your discretion to retrieve the update. Now the tool I use to keep abreast on my favorite blogs or web sites is with a tool called FeedReader. FeedReader is a FREE aggregator that runs in the background and alerts me when an update has been made to one of the blogs or web sites that I read. Sat, 17 November 2007 ![]() As I prepare to take some time off from my current job to welcome our new baby into the world; I had to find a way to still manage my video network from home without being complicated and spending a lot of money. So I turned to my good old friend www.sourceforge.com and found an incredible tool called UltraVNC. UltraVNC is a simple and powerful piece of software that can display the screen of another computer either over a network or through the Internet on your own screen. This program allows you to control the other PC remotely as if you were sitting directly in front of it. The other great thing about this tool is that is also allows you to transfer files between systems and do text chat with the other system, so if the is a user on the other end, you can communicate with them as you access their machine. Now of course to the other system is password protected. So if you provide computer support or manage a large number of computers, you can quickly access your customer's computers from anywhere in the world and resolve helpdesk issues remotely. Of course this tool will make my time off a little less stressful and also give those who I support a little piece of mind that they are still in good hands. These tools engage the 21st Century learner and have brought excitement back to the classroom. Well, SMART Technologies is doing it again with another new tool, the Senteo interactive response systems. The Senteo system is in response to educators who wanted interactive response systems to compliment their other SMART systems. Now what makes the Senteo stand out from traditional response system is the ease of use and integration into the SMART Board products. Teachers who are comfortable with their SMART Board can now assess student learning right from their SMART Board without having to start another application. Now that's SMART! On top of that, the learning curve for the system is small and it offers a variety of product features, some exclusive to SMART. The Senteo system can be purchased in packs of 24 or 32 pack of radio frequency (RF) remotes, a central receiver, and SMART Board Notebook software. It also ships with Senteo assessment software, which shows and tallies student responses, records attendance, posts test results and provides individual feedback. On top of that, the software also comes with a virtual remote that looks just like the device that the students would use, that appears on the teachers computer, so teacher can see what their questions will look like on the students devices. This system is also flexible enough that students no longer have to be assigned specific remotes; students can use any remote and enter their own personal code. Wed, 11 July 2007 You know, I am lucky to get 6 months out of the lights bulbs in my house, but there is a light bulb that has been burning for 106 years. I discovered this interesting fact on Myth Busters and just had to look it up myself. If you visit : http://www.centennialbulb.org/photos.htm you will see a live image of the 106 year old light glowing just as bright as the day it was installed back in 1901. The bulb is located in Fire Station in Livermore, California. Of course, I have always found live web cams to be great tools to engage learners of all ages; this is a prime example. How do you see something as simple as a live web cam on a 106 year light bulb be used in the classroom? I have some ideas, but I would like to hear what you think. Sun, 18 March 2007 ![]() I am sure many of you are preparing for the Spring Cleaning of your home, but how about your computer. Now, I am sure many of you take the time to scan your computer for spyware on a daily basis; and hopefully back up your system files; but when was the last time you took a good look at your virus software? Now virus protection software is much like a flu shot, it needs to be renewed once a year. (I have always set mine up to expire on my birthday much like a driver licence) It is also important to make sure that the software protection that you pick for your system not only does the job, but also does not slow it down while protecting you. Now I have used a lot of different virus protection software in the past, but today I actually decided to not to change and continued to use McAfee VirusScan® Plus 2007 for two reasons. The first reason is that I do not notice a slow down the old TechTeacher Podcasting laptop like I did with other virus protection software. For my podcasts, I use a "hand-me-down" HP Pavilion N5435. It is has a 930 MHz Celeron processor in it, along with 256 MB of Ram (As you can see, it isn't a spring chicken) The second reason is that McAfee makes a multi-user version which allows me to purchase on piece of software and run it on 3 systems. Keeps both computers in our house protected, while at the same time saving us the cost of purchasing multiple copies. So, if you have just purchased and new computer or if your are like me, trying to hang on to the past; I highly suggest trying McAfee VirusScan® Plus 2007 for multiple users. Mon, 11 September 2006 Many teachers use project-based units in their classrooms to engage, motivate and inspire their learners. No longer must these projects remain locked behind the brick and mortar walls of the classroom. With the use of iProjects, classroom teachers can open up a world of possibilities for their students and take advantage of the flatteners of the 21st Century. First of all, what is an iProject? In simple terms, it is a project-based lesson in which students use Internet tools such as collaborative web sites, e-mail, chat, blogging, podcasting and video conferencing to communicate, process and share information with others outside the classroom. In the past, the teachers have created project-based lessons for their own classrooms and use technology as a research tool. However, over the last few years, these educators have seen the power behind sharing these projects with classrooms around the world. Last spring, the teachers in Wichita, Kansas launched their first iProject called the Wild Weather Project. This project covered a multitude of state standards and indicators in addition to many 21st Century skills. Once the project was posted on the district's Technology Rich Classroom"s web site, schools from around the world were allowed to register if they were interested in participating. All supporting activities, documents, and web resources were supplied for participants along with a contact for the project. During the Wild Weather Project, the main goal was for students to record and monitor the weather in their area. Once this information was collected, they charted and graphed their findings. Students also compared daily, weekly, and monthly weather observations and shared these with the other registered participants. In addition, classrooms shared writings about their school and region and any exciting weather images that took place during the project. Information for this project was collected from as far away as Massachusetts, Virginia, and Iceland. Teachers found that iProjects offered a variety of benefits for both teachers and their students: : Students could electronically participate in multiple activities with students from around the world and without physically leaving the confines or their classrooms. : Students were more engaged, especially those students who have been reluctant learners in the past.. : Students built comprehension through contact with "real" people and experts : Students and teachers gained a wealth of resources, both electronic and human : Students experienced a vast array of 21st Century Skills
Because of the success of the Wild Weather Project, the Technology Rich Classroom teachers created a new project called the Sell Your Community to meet 3rd grade standards. In this project, students from Wichita, an urban community, joined forces with a Kansas suburban and rural community. The idea was to use the collaborative web site along with video conferencing to help these students better understand the other communities. No longer must teachers and students be limited by classroom walls or geographical distances that separate them from a world of knowledge and experiences. With iProjects, teachers can open up new possibilities for interaction and extend learning within a real-world context. Category: general -- posted at: 11:24 PM Comments[0]
Mon, 11 September 2006 Blogging is not usually thought of as an activity for elementary students, but students as young as kindergarten are now blogging daily in a variety of exciting ways? Many students all across the country are getting the chance to put their creative writing skills to use with their classroom or personal blogs. There are many benefits to blogging, but the greatest is the world-wide audience. Students are getting a chance to share writings with more than just their classmates, teachers, or parents; they have the whole world as an audience, so the stakes are much higher. Blogs have become a very effective way to help students become confident and fluent writers. Research has long shown that students have the tendency to write more, write in greater detail, and with greater voice, and take greater care with spelling, grammar, and punctuation, when they are writing to a larger and to an authentic audience over the Internet. In some classrooms, students are using blogging to reflect on the days activities, while in other classrooms they are using their blog site as a collaborative tool to work on narrative writing. Teachers are using blogs as writing portfolios, keeping a living history of the students' growth in writing. The uses for blogging are limited only by ones imagination. Here are some ways that teachers are using blogging:

I have been wondering about this question ever since I started dabbling in geocaching. Before I purchased our recent TomTom XL 330•S (which by the way, the wife loves) I did some research to see if this unit can be use for geocaching.
One of the issues that many educators have with Blackboard is the migration of course materials and content from Blackboard to another course management system like Moodle.
Recently I was point to a tool created by the ITS department at University of North Carolina called bFree . This small Java based tool smoothly takes your content from Blackboard and creates slick free-standing website out of it so content can be published to a website or uploaded to Moodle.

You have heard me talk about Woot.com and Yugster.com; sites that offer visitors fun and sometimes unbelievable daily deals. Here is another one for you to check out. It is called 1 Sale A Day. It offers one general deal, one wireless deal and one watch deal per day. Like all "one day deal sites" Google the price listed to see if it really is a deal. For more information about this site

We added a new Web 2.0 tool on our website a few months ago, but we had to remove it. In the meantime, if you find something, let us know.

It important to never cut corners when it comes to your help. The same gors for protecting your computer. There are many options when it comes to virus protection, and believe me, I have tried them all.

One of the most powerful tools that I use for teaching online course is screen recording or sometimes called screen casts. Screen recording is a digital recording the computer screen. Not only can you capture the video but audio can be captured also, allowing narration to take place. Really good screen recording software can very expensive, but recently I found an online screen recording tool that is free. Since ScreenToaster is online, it works with any platform (Windows Vista, Mac OS and Linux) and also allows the final project to be converted to Flash so they can be shared online. Now, the only problem with ScreenToaster is that it is currently in its Beta stages...so you have to register to get an invitation key. For more information or to register

Here is a great Web 2.0 tool that will have many uses in your classroom...no matter what age you teach. Another way to use Wordle in the classroom is to have students create special word walls (Examples: adjectives, synonyms, antonyms)

One thing that educators forget to purchase when putting together an iPod kit for their classroom are some AC/USB chargers. Even though iPods can be charged with a USB cable on a computer...this is not always convenient or secure. The easiest way to manage this task is by using this Griffin PowerBlock can be used to charge virtually any iPod from a wall outlet. It features a 30-pin connector that fits iPods with dock connectors, and you can also plug the 1G iPod shuffle directly into the AC wall adapter via the USB-style power port. It features standard Type A USB connectors that work with iPod and other USB-chargeable devices, and flat-blade non-polarized wall prongs that work well with international adapters and in multi-outlet configurations. Compact and easy to travel with, the PowerBlock also includes a USB-to-dock cable can be disconnected for use with a computer for the ultimate in flexible usability.

Whether your school web site or you have a personal blog; wouldn't it be nice to have them pay for themselves. Because we all know schools need extra funding! Now one way may be to contact companies directly, but this takes time and you will probably end up frustrated and discouraged. But have no fear, there is another option, and you get to select what kind of adds you want on your site. The service is LinkShare and it is really simple to use. Just simply sign up and fill in the information about your site. Then, select your category and then browse through the hundreds of companies that are looking to place adds on web sites. Select your advertiser copy the for the ad, paste it on you site, and site back and wait. Now some advertisers may want to look at your site first before letting you post their ad and some will let you post their ads immediately. Each advertiser offer different percents from the sales your site brings in. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. It you would like to sign up, just click on the LinkShare logo in the right hand column of this page under the Yahoo sponsors.
